Commissioned

Commissioned pieces are pieces created especially for you.

A commissioned piece can be based on an existing design where we change colors or size to fit your needs, or by adding a new design altogether, based on our ideas or yours.

Even if we don't have an existing item, we can make it based on a concept you have in mind, or on ideas that we provide based on your particular needs.

The plate sets and jewelry pieces below are examples of changes to existing designs, while the shelving system was something that we created entirely from scratch, based on a concept provided by the customer.

If you have something in mind, please contact us to discuss.

Below are some samples of commissioned pieces

Wedding Jewelry

The bride commissioned several pieces from the flowers collection for the bridesmaids.

The pieces shown here are two pairs of flowers that were made specifically for the ring bearers.

Jewelry set

The customer commissioned this piece, based on the highly praised crystal pearls collection for a very special friend.

Based on an existing design, she chose special colors that were meaningful to her friend, and added a set of earrings to match the necklace.

Design Detail

Photo frames

The client, having a large family, wanted a modern way to display her pictures in a consistent way.

This contemporary design gave her the flexibility to use different sizes of photos as well as different orientations.

Photo frames are attached to a string of superimposed glass squares, decorated with hand made colors. Strings hang from a rustic iron rod.

Frames can be easily detached and placed horizontally or vertically. Each string of glass can support different frame sizes.

Shelving system

This shelving system consists of six individual shelves that can be stacked as desired. Each shelf features a uniquely designed glass panel.

Shelves and glass were custom designed for this commission.

Each shelf measures 20x27x27 cm (8.5x11x11 in) (DxWxH)

Why commission a piece?

Because a commissioned piece is unique. It has special colors or designs that are meaningful to the person that will receive the gift. A commissioned piece shows the recipient how meaningful they are.
What are good occasions to give a commissioned piece?

We have made many pieces for weddings , from jewelry for bridesmaids, using specific colors to match their gowns, to party favors.

Birthdays and anniversaries are also great opportunities for a special gift. The jewelry set and the green and purple plates below are two examples.

We have made a small quantity of corporate gifts for christmas, that our customers use to thank their special customers.

But we have also made special pieces for everyday use . The blue dessert plates below were made to match a set of blue wine glasses that the customer had.

What is the process of commissioning a piece?

Simply  contact us   to discuss your project. After our initial conversation we will create 3 samples and will create a special page for you to review and choose your design. Once we have agreed upon the piece, we will create it and ship it to you.
Please note that we require payment of 50% up front and 50% upon completion of the piece for commissioned pieces. This is because we need to ensure your commitment in order to produce the piece.
